Carolyn served as the EVP and interim CEO for PeraHealth, a healthcare technology company which uses predictive analytics and machine learning to enhance patient outcomes while improving organization-specific clinical and financial performance. During her tenure as interim CEO, Carolyn led the development of a strategic plan, restructured the organization for increased performance and efficiency, enhanced employee retention, redesigned Board reporting processes for improved information flow and decision making, and supported FDA submission and clearance for PeraHealth technologies. During her tenure, she grew service line revenue more than ten-fold by developing new consultative offerings, launching new clinical programs, securing a large multi-year government contract, and converting non-revenue gearing activities to multi-million dollar services. In the collaborative arena, she led the QUEST collaborative, which engaged approximately 350 healthcare organizations and focused on driving improvement to top performance across the domains of cost, safety, evidence-based care, mortality, readmissions, community health and patient engagement. This collaborative was the recipient of the National Quality Forum’s John M. Eisenberg Award. She also led Premier’s Partnership for Patients Collaborative, which had more than 450 hospitals committed to reducing hospital acquired complications and readmissions by forty percent and twenty percent, respectively, over a three year period. Carolyn also launched and co-chaired Premier’s 300 member Chief Nursing Officer Network, which engaged nurse executives from across the country.

Prior to joining Premier, Carolyn was a Director in KPMG’s advisory healthcare practice, and was responsible for developing a portfolio of offerings to assist clients in improving clinical, operational, and financial aspects of healthcare quality associated with value-based care delivery. Prior to joining KPMG, Carolyn served as a Senior Director for VHA, Inc. (now Vizient).
